This 44 Maxweld Maxcat, (named Lightning), has undergone a complete refit/restoration during 2018/2019 and 2019/2020 that included new engines, new reduction gears, rebuilt jet drives, new hydraulic system, new controls, new electronics, new sanitation/MSD system Electro Scan, new anchor winch, all new interior including flooring, headliner, lighting, etc.

Currently in Whittier, AK, The Lightning is virtually a brand-new catamaran with 600 hours on factory remanufactured Cummins 8.
3 liter 600-HP engines with new ZF 305 gears.
The Lightning is offered at $825,000, well below surveyed replacement cost of $1,250,000.
All exterior paint was completely removed down to the aluminum leaving Lightning to look like a modern yacht.
The Lightning has a cruising speed of approximately 27 knots and a top speed of approximately 32 knots.
