The UAS Library is currently seeking Subject Area Student Tutors.


Tutors are responsible for carrying out Learning Center tasks at the request of Learning Center staff: Conduct single, or group tutoring sessions without supervision; maintain student tutoring session records upon request; attend training sessions delivered by the Learning Center Coordinator and faculty. They will alert the Learning Center staff about students with special needs. Help provide maintenance to the Learning & Testing Center facility and its resource materials.


Average grade of "B" or better previous courses.
Knowledge of basic academic course content and tutoring strategies required.
Must have the ability to recognize various learning styles, communicate effectively with students and faculty, and be highly responsible and organized.
Higher level coursework and/or prior tutoring experience desirable.


Must be a UAS student enrolled in a minimum of six credit hours for the period of employment. Knowledge of basic academic course content and tutoring strategies required.
