Chamber of Commerce is recruiting for a ¾ time admin assistant
The Greater Juneau Chamber of Commerce is recruiting for a ¾ time administration assistant. This position works directly with the Executive Assistant to assist with carrying out the wide variety of office duties that would be considered the operations of the chamber. This would include: • Filing of business records • Entering data and maintaining certain excel spreadsheets • Assisting with the organization, storing and maintenance of office and event supplies • Specific projects such as digitizing chamber records for the past year and updating member records for current contact information • Processing of mail, membership records • Answering the phone and working with a variety of requests directed at the chamber • Assisting with the weekly update of Facebook & chamber website • Assisting with he weekly luncheons (checking in members and collecting luncheon fees) The chamber utilizes the full Office 365 suite of programs. There is an expectation that the applicant be familiar with the primary systems of Word, Excel, & PowerPoint, or willing to learn as needed. Other equipment used: Computer, Xerox copier, postage machine, merchant services terminals Verbal skills: Comfortable speaking to business owners in person or by phone Written skills: Business quality writing is expected Hours of the chamber: 8:00 – 5:00 (this position is 30 hrs/wk – schedule TBD) Location: 9301 Glacier Highway, Ste 110 Dress Code: Business casual / business appropriate
